شريط ألومنيوم مطلي بالبوليمر المشترك (Alu/Copoly or EAA-Coated Aluminium Tape) is a dual-function metallic barrier material consisting of soft-temper high-purity aluminium foil coated on one or both sides with ethylene acrylic acid (EAA) copolymer. Material Structure and Function

The aluminium substrate is typically soft (O-temper) alloys 1050, 1145, 1200 or 8011, thickness range 0.08–0.50 mm. Each face is coated with 0.03–0.10 mm of EAA copolymer (natural or blue).

During PE jacket extrusion (approximately 160–220 °C) the copolymer melts and forms covalent/hydrogen bonds with both the aluminium surface and the polar groups of LDPE, LLDPE, MDPE or HDPE. After cooling, the interface develops peel strength ≥ 6.13 N/cm and heat-seal strength ≥ 17.5 N/cm. This creates a continuous, non-delaminating bonded sheath that prevents longitudinal water migration and edge corrosion—failure modes common with bare aluminium tape.

Double-sided tape is preferred when the design demands a fully bonded sheath and maximum resistance to longitudinal water tracking. Single-sided tape is selected when only one face needs to bond to the outer jacket and cost optimisation is required.
