Description

Fastening Fixture for Optical Cables (also known as optical cable clamps or cable hanging hardware) is a specialized overhead line accessory designed for secure, reliable installation of fiber optic cables — including ADSS and OPGW — on transmission towers and utility poles. Engineered to match the exact dimensions of tower main members and pole diameters, these fixtures provide high mechanical strength, easy installation, and long-term stability under wind, ice, and vibration loads.

Main Types of Fastening Fixtures

1. Tower Type Fastening Fixture Designed specifically for optical cable hanging points on lattice towers. Available in two configurations:

  • Tangent Tower (straight-line towers): Suitable for main member sizes ≤80 mm or 81–200 mm.
  • Angle Tower (tension or corner towers): Suitable for main member sizes ≤100 mm or 101–200 mm.

These fixtures ensure precise alignment and secure gripping of the cable at high-voltage transmission structures.

2. Pole Type Fastening Fixture

Intended for round concrete or wooden poles. It accommodates pole diameters from φ190 mm to φ400 mm, offering a universal and robust mounting solution for distribution and rural power lines.

Key Advantages

  • Precise Fit & Easy Installation: Custom-designed according to tower member size or pole diameter for quick field assembly without additional drilling or modification.
  • High Breaking Load: Rated up to 100 kN, providing excellent safety margins for aerial optical cables under dynamic loads.
  • Robust Construction: Manufactured from high-quality A3 steel with hot-dip galvanization (or equivalent anti-corrosion treatment) for superior weather resistance and long service life.
  • Minimal Cable Stress: Smooth contact surfaces and optimized geometry reduce point loading and micro-bending on sensitive optical fibers.
