Description

Maleic Anhydride Glycidyl Methacrylate Grafted Elastomer Resin is a high-performance functional polymer produced via reactive extrusion. It uses premium elastomer bases (such as POE, PO, or styrene-olefin elastomers) grafted with maleic anhydride (MAH) or glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) monomers. This advanced grafting technology creates a versatile compatibilizer and toughening agent that significantly improves the compatibility and mechanical performance of engineering plastics.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Excellent Reactivity: The grafted MAH or GMA functional groups provide strong chemical bonding with polar resins, enabling superior interfacial adhesion.
  • Outstanding Processability: Maintains excellent flow characteristics and thermal stability during compounding and extrusion.
  • Dual Functionality: Acts as both a compatibilizer (improving dispersion and phase compatibility) and a toughening agent (greatly enhancing impact resistance and toughness).
  • Broad Compatibility: Ideal for modifying polar engineering plastics such as PA (nylon), PC, PBT, PET, and other blends.

This grafted elastomer resin effectively solves compatibility issues in polymer alloys and high-filled systems, delivering enhanced impact strength, elongation, and overall mechanical properties without compromising processability.

Processing Guidelines

  • Recommended Processing Temperature: Below 280°C for all grades (L100/L150/L200/L300) to preserve grafting efficiency and material performance.
  • Suitable for twin-screw extruders and standard compounding equipment.

Packaging and Storage

The product is supplied as uniform granules in 25 kg paper-plastic composite bags. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from moisture, high temperatures, direct sunlight, and ignition sources. For optimal performance, use within 12 months from the production date. Once opened, consume the material as soon as possible. If any abnormal color or odor appears after prolonged storage, discontinue use.

This Maleic Anhydride / Glycidyl Methacrylate Grafted Elastomer Resin is a non-hazardous material. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed handling information.
