All Aluminum Conductor (AAC) is a high-conductivity, bare overhead conductor manufactured entirely from concentrically stranded 1350-H19 grade aluminum wires. With no steel core, AAC offers excellent electrical performance, lightweight construction, and superior corrosion resistance, making it the preferred choice for overhead transmission and distribution lines where mechanical loading is moderate and long-term corrosion performance is critical.

Pure aluminum construction provides the highest conductivity among standard bare overhead conductors (approximately 61% IACS), delivering maximum current-carrying capacity with minimal line losses.

Construction

AAC conductors consist of bare, concentrically stranded 1350-H19 aluminum wires. The design features a straight central wire surrounded by one or more layers of helically laid wires.
