Two Main Types of Mica Cable Tape
Type A: Phlogopite Mica Tape Phlogopite mica tape is produced using premium phlogopite mica paper bonded to glass fabric or PE film with silicone resin. It offers excellent thermal stability, flexibility, and fire resistance, making it ideal for fire-resistant power supply lines, control lines, emergency lighting, and other safety-critical applications in buildings and industrial facilities.
Type B: Calcined Mica Tape Calcined mica tape is manufactured from high-quality calcined mica paper combined with alkali-free glass fiber cloth and silicone resin. It delivers the highest level of fire resistance, low smoke emission, and zero halogen content, making it the preferred choice for ship cables, nuclear power cables, and other extreme-environment applications where superior flame retardancy is required.
