Water Blocking & Absorbing Yarn

Water Blocking Yarn, also known as Water Swellable Yarn, is a high-performance water-blocking material widely used in modern cable manufacturing. It combines high-strength industrial polyester (or nylon) filaments with superabsorbent polymers (SAP) and specialized adhesives. When exposed to water, the yarn rapidly absorbs moisture and expands to form a dense gel that effectively seals cable interstices, preventing longitudinal water penetration along the cable core.

Water Blocking Tape / Water Swellable Tape

Professional-grade Water Blocking Tape (also known as Water Swellable Tape) manufactured from high-strength polyester non-woven fabric impregnated with superabsorbent polymer (SAP). Rapidly swells upon water contact to form a dense, stable gel barrier that stops longitudinal water penetration in optical fiber, power, telecom, and control cables. Available in non-conductive and semi-conductive grades, single-side or double-side configurations. Custom widths, basis weights, and performance parameters supported for high-speed cable production lines.
